The Lamborghini Huracan is the 2014 replacement for its best selling model ever, the Gallardo.
It first appeared at the Geneva show in early 2014 and then went into production. The name came from a famous Spanish fighting bull from 1879. Huracán means hurricane in Spanish. Huracán is also the Mayan god of wind, storm and fire.
That’s some billing for the car to live up to.

The original version released is the Huracan LP 610-4 with a mid-engined 5.2 litre V10 engine. It has both direct fuel injection and multi-point fuel injection together with a stop-start system to help improve fuel consumption and emissions.
It uses a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with different modes depending on the type of driving needed.
The Huracan Super Trofeo, a race car version of LP 610-4 coupe, was unveiled in August 2014 and it will be used in the 2015 Lamborghini racing season. Videos below show the car looks stunning but this version is not road legal.
