This is an introductory article about the Ford Mustang where Ford created a new type of sports coupé – the pony car with the “long hood, short deck”.
The Mustang has been in continued production since 1964 although, unlike the Porsche 911, it has gone through some big design changes.

Because it didn’t meet US regulations, the Lamborghini Islero was replaced by the Lamborghini Jarama in 1970. It is a 2+2 sports coupe that filled the space between the two-seater supercar, the Miura and the two door but four seat Espada.
