The Alfa Romeo Spider or Duetto as it was originally known ,is one the most iconic open top sports cars. It was built with various modifications from 1966 until 1993.
It’s origins were even earlier. The first prototype was shown at the Turin Motor Show in 1961 and the production version was launched at the March 1966 Geneva Motor Show.
The car was designed by Pininfarina and was so beautiful, that it was hardly changed.
Production can be split into four stages
- Series 1 – 1966–1969
- Series 2 – 1970–1982
- Series 3 – 1983–1989
- Series 4 – 1990–1993

Please check the search results carefully. A number of soft top Alfas have just been called Spider. If you’re unsure, look for a reference to dates between 1966 and 1993.
