Product Numbers For The Motormax Pagani Huayra
The Motormax product number to look for is 79160 and I’ve seen the model in blue (BL) and red (RD), both with black tops.
Motormax also make 1:24 scale models in the same two colours with a product code of 79312.

This video isn’t very good and I think you’ll want to hit the mute button but it does give you a look at the blue version of the Motormax model. Please pay attention to the interior which is the biggest weakness. As there aren’t any engine shots, I assume that you can’t get access to it.

Sorry but I haven’t found anything worth bringing to you and I’m not sure why.
The Model Competition For The Pagani Huayra
The competition for 1:18 models breaks down into three categories:
- Budget – Motormax and Mondo Motors
- Mid range – Welly / GT Autos (this is the same model but it can be sold under either brand). I’m also seeing models sold as Nex which is another Welly brand name.
- Premium – diecast Autoart or resin BBR.
Generally with diecast models, you get what you pay for. The Autoart model is particularly expensive but it is very detailed.
If you’re a modern supercar collector, I see this Pagani as a must have model as the company move on from the Zonda. It may not be the quickest in terms of straight line speed or acceleration but it could be the best sports car that money can buy in 2014.
For some collectors, the outside is much more important than the inside and colours can be important. This Motormax model is available in red and blue versions whilst the Mondo and Welly models are only available in gold.
The Welly model has been particularly well received in the diecast community and if you’re on a budget, it’s a good one to go for. It’s also the model that I own.
However I’d like to own an Autoart Huayra but I can’t bring myself to pay £250 for it.
In conclusion, I think the Motormax version should only be bought if you see it at a very low price or you want a blue or red Huayra or you care much more about the exterior than the interior. Otherwise buy the Welly Huayra.

If you are importing, be aware of additional taxes and duties. It’s not an issue if you’re bringing a model in from the EU into the UK.
Is This One Of the Sexiest Cars In The World?
I’m not sure this car is particularly photogenic. In still shots, I’m not so sure but I love the look of my model Huayra from just about every angle. It’s not classically beautiful but it is very attractive.
